Sales/Business Development Exec
After some speedy growth over the past few years, we’re really excited to hire someone dedicated to sales and we want to create a role that’s the perfect fit for a new member of staff.
Strafe Creative is an award winning digital design agency, proud to be working on a range of projects, from websites to mobile gaming, SaaS products and more. We’re based in Nottingham, however remote working is the new office life these days so for the right person, this role could definitely be remote based. PLUS, we’re a fun, passionate bunch of people to work with and we’d love someone like minded to join us!
Sounds like something you’re into? Read on…
Well, it’s a new role so you will have the chance to shape it yourself, as you grow within the business. But, typically, we’re talking lead qualification, sales and contract admin, pitches, contracts and helping out on projects. Loads of variety, working closely with Ross the MD and the rest of the team. Our approach is more about creating a POA that will really help a client, rather than a classic sales model.
Having sales experience would be great, however if you've worked in design or web roles before, perhaps as a Project Manager, we're open to that kind of experience too. Our approach to digital design is different, and we're keen on getting you on board with our approach by finding the right person and teaching our processes and way of thinking, rather than focusing too much on sales experience. We’re people - people so that’s important.
Excited! How do I apply?
Send us over a CV, cover letter and a video no more than 2 minutes long. We're keen to hire a new team member that fits in with us, someone who is a real people person and enjoys the back and forth with clients!
In the video, please talk about one of the following and show us how you communicate:
- The thing you're most proud of and why
- Your favourite hobby and why you love it
-Your best holiday and why
(Hint, we want to see you talking about something you love and how you handle the direction we've provided).
Cover letter wise, focus on why you want to work in the design field, why your past will help with this role and what key thing you would want to have done within your first month. Think of it like your sales script to us, how would you sell yourself essentially?
To apply, you can either use the form at the bottom, or email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
What about pay!?
We're pretty open about this, so there will be room for negotiation but it’s likely a basic salary at around £15k but with a high and uncapped commission percentage per sale you bring in. Our web / design projects are typically middle to high end in cost, so if you’re hitting your targets you’ll be taking a healthy wage each month.
31st October 2020 - we’d love to get someone hired in November so we can get cracking by the end of the year!
We always try to get back to as many candidates as possible, especially if you’ve put the time in and followed our application brief, but please note, if you skip the video or cover letter we will not review to your application.
